Indaba X celebrates Black culture with the key drive to inspire & educate all who attend. In tribute to the late Kofi Annan, all events are curated as part of Southbank Centre’s Africa Utopia Festival with proceeds going to charity.
Through diverse art forms and developing disciplines, we celebrate and inspire excellence. Cultural leaders, trailblazers and innovators from art, music, academia and technology along with industry icons, brought together across three days to share their stories of now and ideas for tomorrow.
The Southbank Centre transformed, for the first festival of its kind, including performances, talks, workshops and screenings. Curated by the culture, for the culture, to form a community of young storytellers and innovators fuelled by inspiration and creativity.
The theme of this year’s Indaba X will provide for participants the opportunity to explore their own perceptions of black identity through differing lenses. We’ll engage an audience of over 40,000 by hosting key panel discussions and a series of educational workshops, live musical performances and screen award-winning film.
